April is World Autism Month, a dedicated time to join in empowering the autism community. The XEL FOUNDATION, powered by the R&R Family of Companies, is a non-profit “Where Purpose Speaks Louder Than Words”. We take action each day to support individuals with autism through fundraising for research and inclusion projects.

Autism Inclusion Day at the Zoo - Nationwide Event

The R&R Family of Companies joins seven important autism organizations across the United States for a day of inclusion at the zoo.

2024 Autism Inclusion Day Partners

The XEL FOUNDATION is proud to fund this nationwide event for these important partners making this day inclusive for over a thousand individuals. This event will take place on April 26th in Pittsburgh and April 27th in Jacksonville, Houston, Denver, Kansas City, Tampa, Boston, and Phoenix.

Additionally, the employees of the R&R Family of Companies are hosting and volunteering at these events.

What Makes this an Inclusive Event?

The XEL FOUNDATION inclusion partner is KultureCity. With their assistance, we will make this day sensory inclusive. This is how:

• Sensory bags will be provided to individuals with sensory needs attending the events
• R&R Family of Companies ambassadors are all KultureCity Sensory certified to assist guests at each location
• The XEL FOUNDATION Sensory Activation Vehicle will be on site at the Pittsburgh Zoo that night to support guests with sensory needs

The Autism Inclusion Day is a free event for our sensory inclusive families to make this accessible to all.

Additional Efforts to Support World Autism Month

On Saturday, April 20th, we’re hosting a Bingo night at Garden City Fire Hall including a jackpot of $2,500 along with a 50/50 drawing and other door prizes. A special thanks to Patti Riccardi for all of her efforts in putting together this amazing event.
