The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette partners with USA Today and Energage to recognize companies and organizations throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area as Top Workplaces. This employer recognition program from the nation's go-to news source is a great way to get employees involved in identifying the strong culture and values of their place of work.

We are proud to announce that R&R Headquarters has been named one of three Top Workplaces out of midsize companies in Pittsburgh for 2023, and has received the Managers Award for the second year in a row. Last year, R&R Headquarters was among seven Pittsburgh companies to be named a top workplace on a national level. We’re thrilled to be based in a thriving city and want to recognize all the winners throughout the greater Pittsburgh area — congratulations!

What It Means to Be a Top Workplace

Companies and organizations earn a coveted spot on the list based on a number of factors, including ‘organizational health’ determined by Energage. According to Top Workplaces, property of Energage, “Research shows that the core elements of organizational health are what employees value most in the workplace and that organizations with high levels of organizational health outperform their peers.”

Other factors explored in the Energage Workplace Survey center around four main culture themes: 

1. Align - How the company aligns with its core values
2. Connect - How employees are communicated with, appreciated and valued
3. Coach - How managers show that they care and are committed to employee growth and development
4. Perform - How the company innovates and executes its goals

The survey also measures things like employee engagement, leadership, training, benefits, compensation and work-life balance.
