The Need

The bus manufacturer needed a solution to ship hundreds of school buses to Costa Rica. School officials in Costa Rica were eager to find new ways to get students to school that could not previously do so.

The Solution

Our solution was to ship a single school bus in a full international container. The first shipment was originally scheduled to go through the Port of Baltimore, but after the tragedy with the bridge, we quickly diverted the shipment to the Port of New York and New Jersey. Many partners would not have been able to find another solution that quickly; Our team was able to fix this nearly overnight for a seamless, non-interrupted shipment.

The Results

The first school buses were shipped at the end of June 2024. Soon, hundreds and eventually thousands of kids in Costa Rica will have transportation to school that they did not previously have.
